3 in 30 - 2002.01.13 Sunday
Just one picture this week, and it's not one that I took, or even one that was taken in Matsubara-cho. It is one that we have in a coffee table book we purchased some years ago. The book is Pictures of Tokyo, specifically pictures of the Tama area west of Tokyo. The pictures cover the whole Tama area and are amazing to look through. There are both vertical pictures and oblique ones (as the one here). This one was selected to show a bit of the area where the 3 in 30 series originates.
Sometime I would like to include a map of where each picture was taken, but in the meantime, you can see where Matsubara-cho fits into Akishima city. Hold your mouse pointer over the following link to see our neighborhood stand out.
Maybe next week, I'll take a closer look at the same picture and point some things out. Can you pick out the train yard and station? How about the white passenger bridge over the tracks?
